Why are we only accepting cash on the first week?

Using cash helps support local small businesses. Electronic transactions cost merchants a percentage of every sale and often involve delays before funds are available. Cash is instantly liquid and protects businesses from chargebacks, fraud, and electronic disputes.

Cash also remains reliable during internet outages, power failures, or payment system disruptions. It does not require sharing sensitive personal or business data, allowing both customers and merchants greater privacy and independence from large financial institutions.

Cash ensures equal access. Not everyone has reliable internet, online banking, or digital payment options. It also tends to circulate locally, helping keep money within the community and supporting local economic resilience.

For startups, pop-up shops, farmers’ markets, and sole proprietors, cash offers a simple, low-cost way to do business without the complexity of electronic payment systems.

For these reasons, registration will be cash-only during the first week, afterwards we will accept e-transfers or cash payments.
