Summer Camps

Our camps have long been a safe and enjoyable place where children have the opportunity to create amazing works of art and have positive social interactions with staff and peers.

In our current state where schools are still closed for the foreseeable future and social distancing is strongly enforced we cannot offer camps where kids will undoubtedly be in close contact with each other. Because nothing is more important than the health and well being of our community we have made the difficult decision to cancel this summers camp season.

We are grateful for your support and look forward to being back with you and your children next year.

The following 4 options are available for those that have already registered for summer camp or for the Tuesday-Friday of the March Break camp that was cancelled.

1. Online Clay Courses:

We are offering multiple 4 week at-home clay course starting June 1st.  We will be offering these courses through to September and onwards

  1. Clay with itty bitty kiddies 2-4 years

  2. Jr. Clay Camp 5-7 yrs

  3. Sr. Clay Camp 8-up

  4. Adult Clay Camp (for those who identify as an adult :-)

For more information please visit our online courses pages found here:

Please email us if you had a spot in any Summer Camp and would like to use your credit for the online course.  We will add you into the course on our end.

If you have any questions please contact us through the contact button in the menu bar.  Please include as much information as you can.  We still have all the original paper work and registration forms if you can't remember which camps you signed up for.

2. Future Credit:

If instead you’d prefer to apply your 2020 registration fees to a camp space for 2021 March break or summer camp we will be offering you first pick of any of the camps we will be operating next year.  At this time we do not have a schedule ready for 2021 summer.  Those that do wish to return to our camps next summer or March break will receive an email in early January with our camp line-up.

3. Donations:

Please consider your camp fee as a donation to YAK camps, these donations will greatly help us out in these financial desperate times. You can contact your accountant to see if you could apply this donation in your income tax for 2020.

4. Refunds:

We will eventually be able to offer refunds to those families that do not wish to partake in the other options.

Right now Jon and I have no income from our 3 businesses which are summer camp, Airbnb and Daycare. The funds we receive from early registration are used each year to pay the taxes for the previous year as well as other annual expenses.

Under normal circumstances we are able to offer refunds because we have continuous income from our businesses.

At this time our businesses do not qualify for government loans.  Please know that we fully intend to reimburse your fees if that is your choice. This could take many months depending on how many refunds there are and the reopening of the economy; we ask for your patience.
